This course explores theories and practice in developing a positive classroom climate. The applications of motivation and management principles and procedures to develop and maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom is studied. This course addresses the use of technology in developing 21st century skills across the curriculum. Participants will learn to use technology as an instructional tool with emphasis on its role in research, problem solving, and presentation to promote higher order thinking, engage individual learning styles, extend learning opportunities, and provide access to resources beyond the school environment.
