The course explores the essential processes, tools, and resources necessary for human service employees as they assist job seekers with disabilities. Students will gain competence in effective discovery and assessment, job development and placement, employer outreach and negotiation, and workplace supports. Foundations of community employment will be presented and field work is required. Students should be currently working in the field or be willing to engage in volunteering or service learning to complete field work.
